RASK is the official legal partner of the Estonian Basketball Association for the organization of EuroBasket 2029
Hosting the final tournament of the 2029 FIBA Men’s European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket 2029) in Estonia is a landmark project for both Estonian sport and the country’s international reputation. It will be the largest basketball event ever held in Estonia, with the aim of delivering a world class experience to local basketball fans while introducing Estonia and Tallinn to international visitors through a professionally organized major sporting event.
Preparations for the tournament began immediately after the hosting rights were secured. By today, the project has reached a stage where its successful delivery requires fulltime dedication. According to Henri Ausmaa, Head of the Final Tournament Organizing Committee, preparations for EuroBasket 2029 effectively started as soon as the hosting rights were secured. “By now, we have reached the point where this project cannot be managed alongside other activities, but requires daily, fullscale commitment. We are proud to be talking more and more about EuroBasket 2029, and we do so today with confidence, knowing that RASK is dedicating its heavy legal artillery to supporting us with legal counsel.”
RASK joined the organizing team as the official legal partner to ensure the project’s legal excellence and compliance with international standards. The firm’s role includes, among other things, contractual advisory services, cooperation with international sports organizations, risk prevention, and the provision of strategic legal counsel throughout the entire preparation process.
