Attorney Karl Erik Esko on the new data protection regulation

The new data protection regulation, which comes into force on 25 May 2018, adds new aspects to the current rights and obligations of personal data processors. How can we prepare for this? What are the emerging issues? What is the right to be forgotten and what changes should be made to IT and control systems?

On 26 April, the conference “Right to be forgotten” was held in cooperation with the Estonian Association of Internal Auditors and the weekly newspaper Äripäev, where the above issues were thoroughly discussed.

RASK’s attorney Karl Erik Esko gave a presentation on employee privacy giving the audience a better understanding of what can and cannot be done with their employees’ data in terms of data protection and labour law.
