Ramon Rask participates in the Museum of Architecture series of talks on energy efficiency in buildings
On 22 November, Ramon Rask, Co-Head of Construction, Real Estate and Energy at RASK, will take part in a series of talks at the Estonian Museum of Architecture titled “(H)ARUTUS”, which will focus on current topics in society that intersect with spatial culture and architecture. This series of talks brings together experts from different walks of life to unravel a particular issue and offer solutions from their professional perspective.
On 22 November, the discussion topic is “Expensive home heating”, or the energy crisis, focusing on the construction and design sector. What can architects do to make houses more energy efficient so that people don’t have to face major heating problems? What is the optimal way to use old buildings? At the same time, we will discuss how much leeway architects and engineers have, given the provisions of the Building Code.
The energy efficiency of buildings and the importance of architecture in the energy crisis will be discussed by architect Mihkel Tüür (Kadarik Tüür Architects), building life-cycle expert Anni Oviir (Tallinn University of Technology) and attorney-at-law Ramon Rask, who specialises in energy and real estate. The discussion will be moderated by Sille Pihlak, architect and Head of Curriculum in Architecture and Urban Planning at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Based on their individual expertise, all panellists will analyse what the ideal energy-efficient building is, both today and tomorrow.
This time, (H)arutus is also a warm-up for the international conference “Challenges of the Green Deal in Spatial Design” organised by the Estonian Association of Architects and the European Commission Representation in Estonia at Artium in Viimsi on 23 November.
