RASK's labour law attorneys provide comprehensive advice to companies and organisations on establishing and managing employment relationships – from drafting employment contracts and work organisation documentation to terminating employment relationships and resolving labour disputes. Our labour law experts provide daily support in resolving personnel issues and in preventing and resolving labour disputes.


RASK's experienced employment law team has advised hundreds of employers and employees on complex employment relationship and labour law issues, including: 


  • documenting unsatisfactory results during the probationary period and terminating the employment contract during the probationary period;
  • situations where an employee fails to show up for work or significantly violates work duties;
  • establishing non-compete clauses and resolving violations of non-compete clauses;
  • protecting the employer’s trade secrets;
  • disputes regarding compensation for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages;
  • scheduling vacation time, granting vacation, and paying vacation pay;
  • keeping track of working hours, including the application of aggregated working time;
  • handling cases of occupational disease and incapacity for work.

In addition, we offer labour law advice on recruiting foreign workers and using temporary workers. RASK's labour law team supports employers throughout the entire process – from drafting a recruitment plan and applying for work permits to preparing the necessary documents and communicating with the Police and Border Guard Board. We also assist in challenging denials, representing clients in court if necessary and during administrative violation proceedings.

Co-Head of Practice – Keidi Kõiv

RASK attorney-at-law Keidi Kõiv is the co-head of the firm's Employment Law, Employment Relations and International Recruitment practice. Her strength lies in her practical and solution-oriented approach to legal issues in employment relationships and dispute prevention. She has extensive experience advising employers on everything from day-to-day HR matters to layoffs and the resolution of complex labour disputes.


Keidi also has significant experience in dispute resolution, having successfully represented clients in various civil and administrative disputes both in and out of court. Her ability to prevent and manage labour disputes establishes her as a trusted partner in labour law.
