RASK represents client in court action against SEB worth almost 100 million euros.

Case

RASK represented Grove Invest and Pjotr Sedin in five interconnected court cases against SEB Bank and SEB Liising. The claims in the dispute amounted to close to 100 million euros.

The dispute was based on mutual obligations existing in relation to the bankruptcy of the largest plywood and veneer production plant developed by Baltic Panel Group, a subsidiary of Grove Invest.

The dispute in court included a claim by Grove Invest against SEB for compensation of approximately 100 million euros and a counterclaim by SEB to perform the obligations arising from the guarantee and suretyship, and foreclosure.

Grove Invest OÜ is a real estate and investment company owned by Pjotr Sedin, which has also, among other things, manufactured plywood and furniture, and developed the Luther Residential Quarter in Tallinn.
