RASK represents Port of Pärnu in contesting City of Pärnu comprehensive plan.

RASK represents the Port of Pärnu in contesting a comprehensive plan adopted by the City of Pärnu in May 2021. The dispute concerns the lawfulness and justification of changing the principal purpose of a property near the Port of Pärnu as part of the comprehensive plan. This is a matter of principle about whether it is appropriate to allow the construction of any unspecified buildings on a brownfield site and whether an administrative body may postpone the resolution of disagreements between persons indefinitely, until further notice in subsequent planning and permit procedures.

Pärnu Sadam AS is the largest and most important port operator in southern Estonia. The port receives more than 500 cargo ships and handles approximately 2 million tonnes of cargo a year.
