RASK represents entrepreneur in Supreme Court dispute over land tax.

Case

RASK represents an entrepreneur in the Supreme Court in a dispute with the tax authority over land tax. The dispute arose from the question of whether it is legitimate to issue a land tax notice for a period with no valid land tax pricing act.

Consultants at RASK hold that setting the land tax price retrospectively is not legitimate. Tartu Circuit Court took the same view. The tax authority did not agree with the verdict of the Tartu Circuit Court and filed an appeal in cassation, which has been accepted by the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court is expected to make its decision during 2019.
