RASK handles dispute involving independently owned pharmacies in Tartu Circuit Court.

Case

RASK currently represents two independently owned pharmacies, Põltsamaa Uus Apteek and Paide Vee Tänava Apteek, in a challenge in Tartu Circuit Court of how the Estonian Agency of Medicines has been issuing authorisations. The Estonian Competition Authority is also involved in the dispute on the opposing side.

The ongoing dispute has broader implications, since it still deals with the fundamental values of the pharmacy market reform. The court case will define the scope of the supervisory activities of the Estonian Agency of Medicines with regard to issuing authorisations to general pharmacies.
