RASK consults entrepreneurs in Estonian maritime spatial planning procedure.

Case

RASK is consulting several local companies in connection with the process of preparing a national spatial plan for Estonian maritime areas, more specifically regarding the stipulations on the locations and conditions for building offshore wind farms. RASK helps the companies to ensure that the development areas for wind farms defined in the maritime spatial plan also take into account other marine uses.

The spatial plan will be prepared as a national thematic plan for the entire maritime area of Estonia by the Ministry of Finance. The purpose of the maritime spatial plan is to agree on the long-term use of the Estonian maritime areas as a public resource in order to promote the maritime economy and contribute to achieving and maintaining the good condition of the marine environment.
