RASK advised Datahouse on the acquisition of Webware and IP matters

Case

RASK attorneys-at-law Timo Kullerkupp, Kai Villemson, and Ken Kaarel Gross advised Datahouse on its acquisition of a majority stake in Webware, an Estonian software company that develops, implements, and integrates the WebDesktop information management platform.

Following the successful acquisition, RASK supported Datahouse in its day-to-day legal matters, including intellectual property issues related to the transition of WebDesktop services to a SaaS model, and ensuring that all intellectual property created by Webware employees was either transferred to the company or licensed with respect to moral rights. In addition to the general SaaS structure, the company offers tailored licenses to specific clients, with RASK negotiating transactions and drafting the relevant agreements.

Datahouse is an Estonian private limited company, established in 2004, primarily operating in the financial sector with a focus on investing in financial instruments such as bonds and securities.
