Advising developers on preparing a new comprehensive plan for the Viimsi municipality

Case

The current comprehensive plan for the mainland part of Viimsi municipality is over 22 years old. In the two decades since the plan’s adoption for the Viimsi mainland and islands, significant changes have occurred in the municipality’s spatial, economic and social environment. These socio-economic and spatial transformations have led to evolving public interests and expectations regarding the implementation of the comprehensive plan. Given strong public interest and the need to establish conditions that are balanced and considerate of the needs and interests of as many community members as possible, the preparation of a new comprehensive plan for the municipality was initiated.

RASK is advising various developers in the process of drafting the new comprehensive plan, providing proposals and formulating and presenting their positions.
