Fields of expertise
Maarja is a legal expert with a diverse and strong insolvency background, having worked for many years as a trustee in bankruptcy and, immediately before joining RASK, as a legal advisor in the business and consumer environment at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications. In addition to insolvency issues, Maarja supports attorneys at RASK with various large-scale litigations and legal analyses.
Maarja has been working in the field of insolvency for more than ten years as well as acting as a trustee in bankruptcy since 2017. Maarja contributes to the Estonian Chamber of Enforcement Officers and Trustees in Bankruptcy as a member of the Examination Committee. She has diverse experience in the public sector and has previously worked at Harju County Court, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.
Maarja conducts training on insolvency issues and has contributed significantly to revising Estonian insolvency legislation.
