Marit Martens

Marit Martens advises clients primarily on competition law and European Union law. She has also extensive experience in consulting companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.


Marit provides legal advice to clients in all areas of competition law, including matters relating to collusion and vertical agreements between competitors, abuse of dominance, merger control and state aid. Her previous experience includes consulting both large international corporations and local entrepreneurs, as well as representing clients before the Estonian Competition Authority and in court.


In pharmaceuticals and healthcare, Marit has acted as legal adviser to international manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, as well as healthcare providers. Marit consults clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries on various contractual and regulatory issues, and in communication with supervisory authorities.


Marit holds a master’s degree from the School of Law of the University of Tartu and has continued her professional education at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.
